Our studio
We design with the season, the light, and the lake in front of you.
Wildthorn is a small studio working almost entirely in the mountains. We build loose, garden-gathered arrangements that look grown rather than assembled — soft blush and cream, deep greens, a warm terracotta note when the season allows.
Most of our couples plan from somewhere else entirely. We are used to that: clear proposals, honest photographs, and a team already known to the venues and planners here.

Planning a mountain wedding from another state is normal here. Our process is built for it — thorough, visual and specific, so the day you imagine and the day you get are the same one.
Planning from anywhere
Video consultations, shared mood boards and a photographic proposal mean you can book confidently without seeing the studio. We keep everything in writing so nothing lives only in a phone call.
Venues & planners we already know
We work regularly with the lakefront venues, lodges and barns in the area, and coordinate directly with your planner on timelines, load-in windows and ceremony flips.
Wind at lakefront venues
Open water means real gusts by mid-afternoon. Installations are built on weighted, engineered frames with wind-tolerant material choices — no loose garlands where they will not hold.
Elevation & bloom selection
Thin, dry air is hard on delicate petals. We choose varieties that travel and hold at altitude, condition everything on-site, and keep the softest blooms for cooler, shaded moments.
Alpine light & palette
Mountain light runs cool and bright at midday, then turns gold fast. Palettes are chosen to read beautifully in both, and in your photographer's film stock.
Travel & setup logistics
Refrigerated transport, early load-in on remote roads, contingency for weather holds, and a full breakdown crew at the end of the night — all quoted transparently upfront.

A visual proposal with imagery, itemised recipe and investment. A signed agreement holds your date.

We deliver, install, tend through the day, flip the ceremony and quietly clear everything at night's end.
